UI tuning ? Mailcontrol / Search "from Address" confusion : is not the "From: " header
Hello maybe a source of confusion. In Mailcontrol / Search form the "Search from Address" does not search in the "From:" header as maybe spontaneous interpreted, but does search in the "Received: " header This is logic with https://forum.configserver.com/viewtopic.php?p...

CPANEL : can spamassasin, mailscanner and configserver mailscanner FE be put on separated server
Hello The spamassassin / mailscanner and configserver mailscanner FE do need some serious processor power. Has someone find a config / work about, to have the mailaccounts etc continued to be managed by the CPANEL server, but have the mail send (via secure connection) to a separate server to have th...

Re: Privacy Issues
Maybe a difference is possible between 1/ people have root access (and then of course they will *always* be able to see everything if the want (even in WHM or CPANEL if they are the virtual domain user), or the MTA has to apply encryption, but then antispam will have some problems too... or the key ...

Re: Creation of "number.dat" files not present in mailsource, that then trigger "Bad Filename Detected"
Found some sources talking about this : "Seems related to TNEF expanding set to ON The attachments are extracted but named as follows: MailScanner: No programs allowed (900000.dat) MailScanner: No programs allowed (900000.dat) Then blocked as they are .dat files. This email had a pdf and a docx...

Re: Notifications sent to API, instead of mail
From the readme.txt about "Block Reporting" on 2022-01-14 1/ Security : "It runs under the root account, so great care should be exercised with regard to security of the BLOCK_REPORT script" 2/ The arguments : -----) lfd can run an external script when it performs and IP address ...

Re: spam.whitelist.rules changes wiped out
@Sarah 1/ Maybe, as WHM/CPANEL does, when MSFE rewrites a rule file, add a comment / warning at the beginning, something like "DO NOT EDIT, Direct modifications WILL be lost upon subsequent regeneration of this configuration file" This could avoid frustration 2/ Maybe provide (if this can ...

Creation of "number.dat" files not present in mailsource, that then trigger "Bad Filename Detected"
Hello A bit related to https://forum.configserver.com/viewtopic.php?p=31463#p31463 that was about winmail.dat files I see now the creation of files like 20000.dat of 310000.dat in the /var/spool/MailScanner/quarantine/20220114/xyz directory as a result of scanning a mail that has *not* this attachme...

Re: spam.whitelist.rules changes wiped out
The spam.whitelist.rules are indeed managed by the configserver MSFE, and rewritten regulary by a perl script thats part of MSFE. Some things in this way of function are useful, like adapt the rule automatically when adding or removing domains for WHM etc. But for those who want for x reasons make c...
