Just wondering if you've come across this before.
I enabled logging this morning as it's been happening for a couple of weeks now.
I normally have daily failures. These are the messages just before it fails.

We have a problem where one of our cpanel customers has an email forwarder sending emails on to their ISP address. They are getting hundreds of spam emails which mailscanner is marking as highscoring spam. As a result their ISP is blocking much of their mail, including legitimate emails. I have MailScanner on three servers, as of the start of the month on one serve ronly spam has been getting through even if I lower the setting to say 4 and 15

This makes me think it is not workiong

I am getting a ton of spam to cpanel@hostname.damin.com So I added:

FromOrTo: *@sabrina.syo.com yes
to the spam.scanning.rules

and I added:
FromOrTo: *@sabrina.syo.com store delete
to spam.action.rules

I get less spam, but now the messages
from:root@sabrina.syo.com
to:root@sabrina.syo.com
have data like this in the subject line:
{Definitely Spam - Score: 28} sabrina.syo.com 06/25/08:05.01...

I'm bumping it down to stable right now to see if that helps. I restarted all services and it keeps on failing, and I get a 500 error when I try to access any of the configserver scripts from WHM too. Yay cPanel! :D

I'll post back with my results when the downgrade is complete.

I have one domain that's been on one of my VPS's for a while now and for the past couple of weeks it's started coming up daily in a cPanel -> MailScanner Report email:

I get the email at midnight every night at the moment. Is there a way for me to stop this as the domain isn't new and has always had it's email services turned on!?

What is the procedure for moving the license and script to a new server?

I am not sure its the right forum but lately I am getting high volume of spam which pass through mailscanner like a wind through a desert.

Almost all mails are treated correctly. MS, SA, clam works like a charm but theres small count of mails (comparing to whole mail count) which seems to baypass all checking

Say I sent a 40MB attachment, and MSFE is set to scan both incoming and outgoing attachments.

Will mailscanner/clamav scan the file as it downloads it, or downloads the whole file first and scan?

This morning my MailScanner completely broke for some reason. I noticed that MailWatch was getting SQL errors so I fixed that. But only 2 emails processed. I noticed that my Mail Queue was getting larger so I ran all the scripts from the FAQ. I even completely uninstalled MailScanner, MSFE, and MailWatch.

I noticed on two of my four servers, Rules dujour isn't installed - not sure if the installation was done before CFS was installing it or what, but they no there. :eek:

Wanted to make sure installing it manually ( ) was going to be ok to do or if there were any special paths I needed to be aware of with the way MailScanner's set up by CFS before I dive in.

Would you please hightlight the directories, files and settings that controls the Bayes size limits, expire cron jobs, etc?

I wish to have control over it and let Bayes grow to at least three or four times as big it is high now to improve ists accuracy. Of course I will track the memory usage of my server box so we can maximize the bayes accuracy whitout degrading the overall server...

How easy would it be to have 'Displaying page 1 of XX ....' at the bottom of the page as well as/instead of at the top? Kind of useful after scrolling to the bottom not to have to scroll back to the top....or am I just being lazy ;)

There are no more Bayes reports on the emails received by our servers since Saturday, 26 Apr aproximately at 18:45 (See the Bayes Database information bellow).

It looks like something cleared my Bayes filters. or something is broken with Bayes filtering.

Questions:
1) Is it possible to set it not to Expiry anymore? How?
2) Is it possible to restore our bayes database to the previous state? How?...

Sometimes when I restart MailScanner on the console (service MailScanner start or restart) I see the following error:

commit ineffective with AutoCommit enabled at /usr/mailscanner/lib/MailScanner/MailWatch.pm line 102.

Any any hint?
