i got changed this file /usr/mailscanner/etc/rules/virus.scanning.rules. sometime, it will revert to previous value. any idea to fix this issue?
i need to prevent incoming/outgoing virus scanning for some sender address. Can directly do in virus.scanning.rules?

On the Front-End Settings under Server Spam Whitelist, that I use a lot, I see that if I add a domain to the Server Spam Whitelist like this:
*@*.domaing.tld

it only allows the following:
anyword@word1.fixeddomain.tld

it doesn't allow any of the following:
anyword@fixeddomain.tld
anyword@word1.word2.fixeddomain.tld
anyword@word1.word2.word3.fixeddomain.tld

Had suggested this some years back.

Would be super handy if the Email ID form field was replicated at the very top of the front-end, perhaps in the Mailscanner Service section.

The Lookup button could be optional, simply having the form submitted when clicking in the box after typing (or pasting in) the ID.

Don't know about other folks, but I primarily use search to look up by ID, based on...

maybe a source of confusion.
In Mailcontrol / Search form the Search from Address does not search in the From: header as maybe spontaneous interpreted,
but does search in the Received: header
This is logic with

where is explained that
(..) the address added by the mail server when the email is received during the SMTP protocol exchange. It never uses the From: header field in an email...

Yesterday, I ran updates to a functioning installation. Afterwards, the service was stuck stopped. Manually stopping/starting didn't get it running again. Tried a server reboot as well, but no difference, so ran a forced update, and this got it running again.

Has someone find a config / work about, to have the mailaccounts etc continued to be managed by the CPANEL server,
but have the mail send (via secure connection) to a separate server to have there the spamassasin / mailscanner and mailscanner FE work done
before being sending back to the...

I don't want to use the bayesian filter at all, is causing me ton's of problems.

I've read: but /etc/mail/spamassassin/configserver.cf isn't there.

So I have edited /usr/mailscanner/etc/spamassassin.conf setting use_bayes 0 is this everithing I need to do?

My ConfigServer MailScanner Front-End tags ({spam}, {disarmed}, etc) tons of internal emails; by internal I mean domains that are hosted in the same server and sometimes also from the same domain! (from me@domain.com to other@domain.com being domain.com hosted in my own server).

I've whitelisted my ip's buts still doesnt work. Is there any solution available?

Where do the spam.whitelist.rules get built from, and how can I make my changes permanent? I've checked every domain/whm user's cpanel mailscanner whitelist settings, so I know the rules are not coming from the user whitelists.

I thought it might be the cron job rebuilding the spam.whitelist.rules file, but I commented it out, and my changes stayed in place until I went to the front end,...

About a year ago, I had an issue where file attachments were being received as winmail.dat files.
Restarting Mailscanner resolved the issue.

Fast forward to last week, and the problem re-occured, so I restarted mailscanner, which again seemed to fix the issue.
However, it's happening again today.

Any ideas what might cause this please ?

I like this option as I can see in a glance all the emails that has been blocked by MailScanner, but it will be really great to have the IP of the sender instead of the Message ID.

I followed:

Editting: /usr/mailscanner/etc/filename.rules.conf and (in my case) commented:

#deny \.cer$ Dangerous Security Certificate (according to Microsoft) Dangerous$

And added just after # These are very dangerous and have been used to hide viruses

Today I had an issue with some emails from gmail that were blocked to different users.

Trying to use the option to RELEASE (FORWARD) and selecting more than one of the emails that I wanted to restore to users, the RELEASE sent all emails to the first email address on the list, I mean one user received all the emails from the other users not just the one of him.

I think this is a big issue...
