I go a weired Problem on one of our Cpanel Servers.
Installed Mailscanner and Mailscanner FE as described here
After customizing mailscanner.conf and enabeling mailscanner I get the message in MailControl that I should enable store message even though I enabled quarantining in mailscanner.conf (quarantine infections, etc.). In MailControl I also see the logged and quarantined messages....

I don't seem to be able to list emails that DON'T match a regular expression.

There is no option for Doesn't match RegEX and using ^ at the beginning of the expression doesn't work.

Please advise

I have Store Messages enabled, and I can see email in the quarantine directory, but when I open an email in MailControl, it always has Message not found in quarantine at the content section, with no options for processing the email.

I forced an update of both MailScanner (v3.14) and MailScanner FE (v7.29), but it did not fix the issue.

What could be causing this?

Can anyone point me to where the quarantine now is in mail control

Mailwatch can't release e-mails anymore

Every time I try to release a false positive to the user's inbox I get the following failure message in Mailwatch GUI:
[SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 550, response: Verification failed for root cannot accept local mail deliveries Sender verify failed)

Is this a bug or is it something that changed in the Mailscanner/Mailwatch...

Since I made the update to version 3.13, the MailWatch is no longer recording the events in the log.

Thank you for making MC into the program that MailWatch had the promise to be but never fully accomplished.

I am noticing a few problems with mail control and quarantined files
If Clam Av detects a virus mail control tells me Message not found in quarantine
This only happens if clam AV detects an actual virus not when it detects a blocked file type which it still marks as a virus.

Using the old mailwatch, I can still release the infected file /email for examination and I can also see & download the...

I don't know if I have my server set up differently to others, but that potentially allows you to block IP's on the server, if you are a bit trigger happy and not reading very well.

Now, just as my post says, Could it be possible to hide all the info that is not needed when using the refresh option? as now every time the refresh is executed we have to move the page to see the info that we need.

After upgrading MSFE this morning I get this error in the MailTools area
I have no problem adding a MYSQL user manually but to what database? with what permissions?
or an idea why the original problem is occuring.

First of all, I apologize if this is not the right place to report bugs. Please move the post to the correct location.

This bug is reported based on end user observation , comparison with Mailwatch behavior and interpretation.
Thus, in second place I apologize if my report proves to be an error from my side.

Following to deprecated mailwatch, few things are buggy or not properly designed in MailControl :

Issues are located in bulk actions :

Bulk actions in Mailcontrol in comparison with Bulk Mailwatch / Message operations
Mailwatch had 3-4 columns to tick the type of mail to classify mails, now in Mailcontrol / Bulk actions there is only 1 column, and we have to do then mutiple times by mail...

The new coloured backgrounds in mail control are somewhat too bright & glary now. it really makes them harder to use
The original ones were a little too weak & wishy-washy. These, now are just bright and OTT

I can live with them but the blue for non scanned & green for clean are too bright ( for me ) I personally turn off scanning for outgoing mail because of the way my server is set up and...

It will be a really nice addition to have a column that shows the CLIENTIP of a message from MailScanner DB,
MailScanner lacks of this and this will help a lot to look in a glance the range of spam IPs.

Also, it will be great that any column could be sorted.

One of the options that I use most is to query MailScanner DB to find the range of spam IPs to block them directly in EXIM, as blocking the IP range is faster when EXIM receives the email instead of checking RBLs and then passing the email to MailScanner and finally MailScanner blocking the email.

So, Could it be possible to left the ability of doing a lot of searches (queries to the DB) instead...

I have just updated MSFE to V 7.0 and while I quite like most of the new Mail control facility over the old mailwatch, there is some reduced functionality.
Now I might be using my server & mailwatch in a different way to many others. I search for & blog about malware, especially email based malware/Trojans /viruses etc and work with the majority of anti-virus companies and other independent...

MSFE has been working fine on my VPS server since you guys did the install a year ago.

When I click on the WHM MSFE Option it just hangs
Have rebooted and restarted EXIM.

Anyone else having this problem?
