Csf+apf

This forum is only for reproducible bugs with csf and lfd (i.e. not iptables problems, lack of understanding how to use a feature, etc). Posts must be accompanied with full technical details of the problem and how it can be recreated. Any posts not adhering to this, or not considered bugs, will be moved to the General Discussion (csf) forum.

Hello

What's the problem if the both security on same server CSF+APF ?


and why it show me :

Remove APF from the server. You must not run both APF with csf on the same server

Because they both are front ends for the iptables firewall. You can't have both fighting for control of your iptables fw. :)

Most definiately! Drop the APF, it doesn't do half the job the CSF/LFD does. It's also less of a resource hog if setup correctly. I can't count how many times, when we where using APF in the past, that it messed up one of our servers ... BIG time!

Just my $0.02 worth ;)
