RH Linux server
Kernel 3.10.0-1160.88.1.el7.x86_64
WHM/Cpanel 108.0.15
csf v14.17
Things had been working fine but after recent kernel update, upcp script for nightly maintenance does not run properly.
Yum updates fail.
If I drop the firewall, everything runs as it should, but when CSF is back up maintenance fails and exits.
Seems like it is blocking access to repos - MariaDB103, dell-system-update_dependent,dell-system-update_independent, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Server - Optional (RPMs), Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Server (RPMs) and others.
DNS is fine on the server and can ping and dig repos with no issue.
There are 5 old notes on this problem in the forums but with no clear resolution other than disabling CSF and finding an alternative.
Any help here welcome!

Re: csf blocking upcp script from running
Having the same issue with 3 customer's servers. Shut down CSF, rebuilt yum cache, enabled CSF, now upcp works. What gives?
[2023-09-06 01:35:20 -0400] E Pre Maintenance ended, however it did not exit cleanly (256). The following events were logged: "scripts/update-packages". Please check the logs for an indication of what happened
curl https://archive.mariadb.org/mariadb-10. ... s/8/x86_64

This does the same thing
curl https://archive.mariadb.org/mariadb-10. ... repomd.xml
This works though
curl https://mirror.nodesdirect.com/mariadb/ ... repomd.xml | less
